White House Plans to Buy Majority Stake of Netflix to Ensure Citizens Watch Only Government Approved TV Series and Movies
WASHINGTON - After buying a 10% stake of Intel, the Trump Administration has announced their plan to buy a majority stake of Netflix with Trump vowing to “end the liberal streaming agenda once and for all.”
“We’re making Netflix great again,” Trump told reporters. “No more purple-haired baristas writing shows where Spider-Man’s gay. From now on, Spider-Man is straight, patriotic, and loves coal.”
According to sources in the White House, the move to purchase Netflix is part of a larger plan developed by the Trump administration and the Heritage Foundation called “Operation Not Fascism.”
Under the proposal, Netflix will immediately cancel “subversive” programming, starting with Queer Eye, The Crown, and any documentary featuring more than one scientist. According to the White House, viewers can instead expect a lineup of wholesome American programming.
Critics have blasted the plan as authoritarian censorship, but Trump brushed aside concerns stating, “People say it’s propaganda, I say it’s family-friendly content. The best content. Nobody does propaganda better than me. Ask Russia.”
When asked if the administration would also target rival streaming services like Disney+ or Hulu, Trump said, “Let’s just say Mickey Mouse is gonna be very, very patriotic soon.”
