WEST POINT, NY - President Joe Biden's recent graduation speech at West Point was abruptly interrupted when he appeared to fall asleep mid-sentence. The incident, initially perceived as an excessively long dramatic pause, left viewers in a state of confusion.

As the President began his address to the eager cadets, he spoke passionately about the importance of duty, honor, and country. However, as he launched into a particularly verbose segment on the historical significance of military traditions, his eyes began to droop. What followed was increasingly slowly drawn out words that resulted in a full stop, followed by soft snoring.

Vice President Kamala Harris, seated behind Biden, then leaned over to gently nudge him awake.

"Joe, wake up," she whispered. "You're still on."

Biden jolted awake, quickly regaining his composure. "Ah, yes, where was I? Duty, honor... and a good nap," he quipped, attempting to turn the mishap into a moment of levity. The audience responded with a mixture of relieved laughter and hesitant applause.

The White House Press Secretary later addressed the incident, attributing it to the President's "rigorous schedule" and "commitment to working around the clock for the American people." She assured the press that the President was in good health and simply needed a moment to "recharge."
